Storage Policies and Procedures

Crop Year 2019

It is the producer's choice to sell or store their grain upon arrival at the elevator.  If the grain is not contracted or if specific instructions are not given upon arrival, your grain will be put into storage.  It is the responsibility of the producer to make that decision.

Storage Fees will begin as outlined below: 
Soybeans - December 1st, 2019  - $0.07/MT/Day
Corn  - January 1st, 2020 - $0.07/MT/Day 

Handling Fees will begin as outlines below:
Soybeans - November 1st, 2019 - Elevation In Fee $5.00/MT
Corn - December 1st, 2019- Elevation In Fee $5.00/MT 

Producers will be issued an Official Grain Storage Receipt for all stored product.  The storage receipt will expire on June 30th, 2019.  At this time, the grain must be sold to Northumberland Grain Inc. or the producer will make arrangements for the grain to be shipped back to them.  Any stored grain removed from the elevator by the producer will be subject to $6.00/MT Elevation Out Charge plus applicable storage.

Grain is not subject to  Storage charges if contracted or sold prior to Storage Fee start dates.
